FOREVER YOU AND ME |
I was told to forget you Yet, my heart will not let go Of a love so inflamed That it would melt a winter's snow. Perhaps if my mind could free itself from you My heart could be left for another to pursue. Yet, I cannot let someone who has meant so much to me vanish in the wind as though they were not meant to be. If you cannot feel my love for you what is left for me to say? I told you how much I cared yet that could never sway. A heart once broken by another. 'Tis left on the mend. How can this love ever hope to send the feelings of passion that a true love brings. Immersed in the sounds of agony that a lonely soul sings. Should my love be forgotten as a frivolous affair Should it be embraced as intended in your broken heart there? Please let me enter. Let the healing begin. Let my love flow to your passions lying deep within. Together we are fearless This love can only bring happiness not sorrow Together we can sing. That our love was intended We are meant to be Together, forever, my love You and me. ©Sonji Rush LEFT CLICK ON PAGE FOR POP-UP POETRY LIST |
