An expression of endearment these words that we say Can have various sentiments when said in different ways When said with passion they can arouse one who is sleeping When said softly to your dearest soon you may find them weeping They can bring those together who have grown apart throughout the years They can take away the pain of our most dreaded fears Three simple words when said in haste may soon bring a new relationship to one of sudden waste As they bring about visions of commitments unknown Panic arises where passion was once sewn. How beautiful these words are to hear when one has been waiting Silently, patiently, anticipating the happiness two people can share knowing they belong together knowing they are with the one who cares Enough to say the words spoken so dear and true Enough to say the endearing words My darling "I love you". ©Sonji Rush |
