I thought I saw you today. My heart raced with anticipation at just the thought of you. Yet, it slowly paused in disappointment once I knew, it was not you. Tears came to my eyes. Sadness dwelt within me. Time had passed yet my love for you had not seized to be. What will I do when I do see you? I would wish to caress you tenderly as I tell you how dear you are to me. Though, I may shy away in the moment, thinking you may not feel as I do. Yes, mistaken was I. How sad it is but true. Thus, now I know, more than ever, that I am not mistaken in the depth of my love for you. ©Sonji Rush
